Seeing more of the world gives you perspective on the challenges you face daily, and offers you a glimpse into someone else’s world. It’s also expensive, if you let it become that way. There are tips you can use to travel anywhere on the planet for a modest budget. Travelling is simple, but vacation is expensive. Read on to discover the difference between the two.
Book in Advance
If you book in advance, you have a wealth of information on your side. You can search multiple airline websites to book cheaper fares, compare prices and find the flight that’s best for you. Remember, decreasing stops and being picky about arrival times tend to pile up the costs.
Book with Friends
If you can, get a large group together and book a room for everyone. Most accommodations are ready to handle group requests, and you can split the costs per person staying in the room. You would be surprised at how much money you can save by renting a single, large hotel room for four people.
Plan for Something Nice
If you plan to do one grandiose event on your vacation, you will feel less bad about being frugal with your budget. Find that one memorable event you want and budget for that event. For walking around money, try and budget one or two times the amount you think you’ll need. If you end up spending less, you can apply that to a future trip or put it right back into savings.
