Travel

All-male vacations mostly offer golfing, however, unique programme have been developed to accommodate trends in the industry, with the latest mancation packages offering yoga, sexual reawakening, culinary tips, and even spiritual healing. Located deep in the Maui jungle, this incredible Hawaii vacation site is only accessible by a series of ropes and ladders spanning the tops of the trees. Imagine falling asleep to the sounds of the natural wonders and animals of the jungle. Picasso Museum closes for two years renovations

Travel
Citing a need for modernization, officials on Aug. 23 closed the Picasso Museum, an extremely popular Paris museum dedicated to the works of the late modernist painter. The museum is expected to reopen in 2011 after two years of renovation work designed to redo the electrical and security systems as well as expand the cramped quarters. The good news is that not all of the museum’s works will be lost; a simple Paris metro pass will allow you to visit other museums, where officials hope to hold frequent exhibitions and discussions of Picasso’s work while the renovation work takes place. The work is expected to cost roughly 20 million Euros. Travelers in other cities can also see Picasso’s legendary works. Many Rome museums have significant works by Picasso on display,…

Southwest’s air specials might not be so special

Travel
A round of airline ticket sales has brought airfare prices down across the board. But one popular travel guru is calling out Southwest Airlines for what he considers to be misleading advertising. Tom Parsons is calling Southwest’s latest travel special a “Bah Humbug air fare sale” because of fine print that might limit the ability of families to travel over the holidays. While Southwest is offering special one-way fares from $59 to $109 from now through early January 2010, fine print shows that the deals are not as good as you might think. There are 26 black out dates, the majority of which are clustered around the holidays. This makes it tough for families looking to see relatives or searching for a last minute vacation deal over the holidays. Southwest…

Fare war means big savings for airline travelers

Travel
The recent downturn in airline traffic is a boon for frequent travelers, as airlines have slashed prices. Finding an airline travel deal has never been easier, as the major domestic airlines have dropped their rates by an average of 9.1 percent in the first quarter of 2009 alone. Airlines began cutting capacity as a result of the reduction in travelers during the global recession, but a recent reduction in fuel costs have allowed them to also reduce fares. Almost every major domestic carrier has drastic reduced costs on airline tickets. Specials started appearing after Southwest Airlines cut rates on some of the most popular short flights to as low as $29 each way. The cheapest airfares of the major 100 cities can be found in Long Beach and Oakland, while…
