Have you taken a long flight lately? If you have, you may have felt the cramps in your legs. Sitting in a tight place for a long period of time without any activity could leads to a condition called deep-vein thrombosis (DVT). It is caused by a blood clot in a deep vein. Symptoms of the condition include pain, swelling, redness, warmness, and engorged superficial veins in the legs. This condition could go away naturally. But in some instances thrombosis, blood clot could travel into your lungs and cause pulmonary embolism (PE). DVT could lead to serious medical condition such as cancer and trauma.
